Today, I went to an orphanage for visiting those orphans... We went there for Christmas Carol... When I was in the bus, I was thinking that how the orphans live without their parents... Ms. Merlyn told us try not to ask them for backgrounds and try talk to them.. because it might cause them have the black shadows happens to attack them again... I was thinking how I start a topic with them?
When we arrived there, the orphanage was a worldwide orphanage... it is The Salvation's Army. When we went into there... I saw the canteen and we went upstairs, I saw classroom and a living room. The children had waiting for us, their faces were sad... and we just standing and don't know what to do... When I saw those orphans, my heart felt sad for them... After a while, we started to play music chairs... At start, the children had the boring face... After a while, we tried to cheer them up to win the game and it was hilarious... I saw their happy faces and I felt so happy for them.
After that, 1 of the orphans had won the game... actually we let them win because they are small children... we are teenagers, the "big kids"... We started our Christmas songs, while we finished the first song, the orphans felt boring... but we didn't give up... after 3 songs, they started have the happy face and we got all the presents and give to the orphans... When we gave them the presents, their eyes look so glad that have so many presents from us... I felt happy for them too... The teachers told us tried to talk to them... At start, I said that open the presents and see what is inside... and I tried to get a topic... I chat to 2 boys and they are 13 and 17 years old... I tried to make some jokes and the 17 years old boy who is kazuki... I forgot his chinese name ops =x! I asked him... How old am I look like? He said 20+... I said I'm heart broken... When I told him I'm 15 years old... he was kept saying sorry with a laugh and a nice smile... the 13 years old boy also laughs... He asked me that I took PMR or not? I told him that I was in China.. I said I skipped UPSR and PMR... Then, he asked a question... "Did your parents sent you to China and study?" I was like omg... how should I answer his question...? I don't want to hurt their feelings... because I felt bad to say more about it so I just say ya... hehe... I asked him to change the topic about studies and people around... We had a good and funny chat...
After a while... we sang the last song and I wished them good luck on their SPM and left... when I back into the bus... I was thinking to go for every orphanage to visit them and encourage them... I also realized that the orphans were strong in their hearts... because they didn't have their parents around them.. They still have their lives and dare to face the future and facts... I admired them... We are weak in mind... They are strong in mind...I wish them keep their strong mind for the future ;)
